FRAMING
Framing for panoramic prints is hard to find and sometimes expensive. We are currently exploring framing options that will help you show off your panoramic prints at a reasonable price.  We hope to be able to offer them soon.

MOVING TO 8x10 PRINTS
We are phasing out 8.5x11 prints and moving to 8x10. Why?
1. Prints look better and last longer when framed.
2. 8.5x11 is not a standard size for photographs, which makes framing more expensive, with fewer choices.
3. 8x10 is a standard size for photographs, with many choices available for frames and mats.
We hope you will agree with this change and be just as happy (or happier) with 8x10 prints as you have been with 8.5x11. Your framing options will go up, and the cost of framing will go down.

A SHORT GUILT TRIP
The effort required to bring you these pictures is comparable to the effort you put into rowing. The investment in time and equipment is enormous. If you enjoy seeing pictures of yourself, your friends or your kids doing what they love, please help make this venture worthwhile by buying prints. Own a high quality picture you will be proud of. WHY BUY PRINTS?

We hope you enjoy seeing the pictures on the screen. But for the highest quality, desk or wall decoration, sending to grandparents, or just showing off, prints are the way to go. Our dye-based prints have the same quality and longevity as those you would buy from a professional photo lab. Sizes range from 4x6 album size to 8x23 panoramas. In the future, we will have an easy way to order prints online. For now, please print and mail the Order Form. PHOTO QUALITY

These photos were taken using high-resolution equipment capable of  producing sharp prints at sizes up to 13x19 inches (and panoramic prints up to 8x23 inches - great for boats). Your prints will be sharper than what you see on the screen and will not have watermarks or copyright notices on the front.  (Copyright still applies, however.) The screen images have been reduced in size for faster display when using dial-up phone lines.  In order to give you an idea of the real resolution, some pictures will soon include a Magnify link, which shows a portion of the picture at full resolution and sharpness.

MARGINS

Print sizes are paper size. Our prints normally have white margins of about 0.2 inches. The exceptions are 8x12 and 4x12 panorama prints, which are borderless, and 8x23 panoramas, which are printed on 8.3x23.4 paper with image dimensions of  7.8x22.3.  Because many photos have been cropped to create a pleasing photograph (and eliminate distracting objects like launches or buoys, where possible) the picture may not fill the paper completely, but it will be the largest image the paper can accommodate. Therefore some margins may be greater than  0.2 inches, depending on the shape of the photo.

PANORAMIC PRINTS

Panoramic prints are created by cropping the top and bottom from the 4x6 format images you see on the screen. This technique provides good results for photos with 4 or 8 rowers. If you order a panoramic print of a photo with 4 or 8 rowers (shown on the screen as 4x6), it will be cropped accordingly.
